香蕉视频 celebrated their latest investment in facilities this week, with the official opening of their new Humanities block - ‘The Machin Building’ - so named after a former member of staff and school governor, Roland Machin MBE.

Roland taught at the school for almost 40 years and later served as a governor from 2019 - 2023. He sadly passed away last year. Members of his family attended as honoured guests, including his sons, Tim and Simon. The school is delighted to honour the memory and service of Roland, who was a much-respected teacher of technology, school leader, teacher trainer and lover of history.

Headteacher, Heidi Thurland said:

“Roland Machin gave his life to the care and education of young people. We want our students to see the importance of education, the opportunities it affords and the difference it makes to so many. Roland Machin will always be part of the fabric of 香蕉视频, and his legacy will continue to inspire the staff and students of 香蕉视频.”

The event was also attended by guests from Cheshire East Council, Jay Ashall Partnership Architects and leaders of The Learning Partnership Trust.

In addition to this new purpose-built ‘Machin Building’, which includes state-of-the-art classrooms and teaching technology, 香蕉视频 also celebrated the official opening of their new 'Hungry Bear' refectory. These two projects represent a multi-million-pound investment into the school’s estate, ensuring the very best facilities are available for students and staff.
